Samples of Training - Presentation Topics
Interpersonal
Communication skills
This presentation helps people know how to watch for visual cues that are automatically happening in person to person communication and what to do with what they see. Jack explores the assumption cycle that regularly derails the healthy exchange of interpersonal communication. He emphasizes Stephen Covey’s habit #5 “Empathic Listening” as a model to help people elevate their interpersonal communication skills.
Connectivity: Intergenerational Respect and Communication
Managing as an Introvert - Quiet Leadership in a Noisy World
Jack (a self-identified introvert) has spent years leading quietly and helping other introverts discover their value and confidence. Your natural strengths are your biggest assets, and organizations need the perspectives and insights offered by quiet-natured, deep-thinkers more than ever.
In this workshop Jack will explore the introversion and extraversion tension and offer clear pathways for you to excel in managing/leadership roles while being true to who you are.
Increasing Influence
This presentation focuses on the 5 core skills that are necessary to improve the way that one person affects positive change, engagement, and forward movement in someone else. These core skills are Curiosity, Empathy, Narrative Communication, Vulnerability, and Focused Affirmation. Jack explores ways to develop and grow in each of these interpersonal skills.
Conflict Resolution
This training is conducted in two parts. The first part is helping people grow in their ability to be proactive in potential conflicts; strategically initiating hard and honest conversations with coworkers, direct reports, and managers/supervisors. The second part of the training focuses on what to do when the sparks have already flown, and tensions are firmly anchored into workplace relationships. Jack encourages the development of a conflict management framework for understanding differing kinds of conflict and finding successful paths to resolve them.
Social-Emotional Wellness for Individuals and Teams
In this presentation Jack takes a high-level view of the primary components that contribute to social-emotional wellness. He introduces Emotional Intelligence as an applied practice (as opposed to theoretical) and explores key pathways to growing in the balance between better self-awareness and increased social awareness. This workshop addresses EI growth in relation to its importance to individuals and in its importance to teamwork and collaboration.
